OPEN TO VISITORS SATURDAYS 10H00 TO 16H00

As you know as of 30 June 2009, and firearms that have not been relicenced will have to be surrendered to the State (SAPS) for destruction. While this is under dispute and various legal action is under way the False Bay Gun Club is being proactive in trying to obtain as many guns as we can to be licenced for SPORTS shooting.

This is ANY firearm. So please do NOT hand them in for destruction the club can LEGALLY make use of the firearms and LEGALLY get them removed from your name onto the club’s name.

Firearms for the club.

The procedure is very simple:

1. Take them to Suburban Guns Mondays to Fridays 09h00 – 16h30
2. Take along your ID book, gun  and gun licences
3. Hand over to Renate – she will do all the LEGAL paper work.
4. She will give you a copy of the paperwork – your proof – Keep it.
5. Notify her it is for the False Bay Gun Club.
6. While you are at Suburban guns you can hand over any accessories to Charmain, she will collect these on behalf of the club.

If you cannot get to the gun shop or have a transport problem let me know via the below and we will organize for the firearms etc to be collected – again all Legally collected and documented.

Then – this is important:

Notify me of the make, caliber and serial number for our club records. 
Any ammunition, accessories etc – Please hand directly to me or Charmain if you have a problem – call me and I will come collect it.

Just e-mail or SMS me – Over the next few weeks I will be up and down from JHB until Confederations cup is over – so perhaps e-mail or SMS is the best method of communication – PLEASE no “call me’s” – just SMS the details for our records.

False Bay Gun Club is a social club, catering for all levels of shooting. We are the only club in the "deep" southern suburbs.

The primary focus of the club is:

• Practical pistol - IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) / WPPSA / SAPSA
• Defensive pistol - IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) / SAPDA

but we also cater for shotgun (sporting clay), cowbow action, rimfire & air rifle shoots.
